This Or That?
Each outfit has at least 4+ items from TSOC... Can you spot them?
Here are some cute ROOTD ideas for the Fall:
Vests are a must-have. It is my staple for not only my riding outfits, but casual everyday life outfits as well. They keep you warm, but not too hot which is great for those days when its not too hot but not too cold. You can also top a vest off with a plaid shirt, button-down, long sleeve, cable knit sweater (a lot of stuff really). I love Patagonia but other brands such as J.Crew, LL Bean, and North Face work too!
Next is headwear. Yes- helmets are VERY important! (Mind your melon!!!) Either go classy with the First Lady or traditional yet still trendy with the Charles Owen Ayr8. Aside from helmets come cable knit hats and headbands. Not only do they keep your head and ears warm in the chilly months of Fall, but it is a great way to top off a simple outfit.
BROWN. Brown boots, brown belts, brown gloves, brown bags, brown helmets, you name it. Brown is that great hint of color that can go with almost every outfit. Fall is a nice time of the year to bring out those neutrals and Fall colors as well.
Accessories! A little bling doesn't hurt. At all. Whether it is a ring, a bracelet, a watch, necklace, belt, or studs, tasteful accessories are always acceptable. It's nice seeing a little shine and sparkle here and there when you ride. I think it kind of brings out some points of you when you ride.
Remember, in the end it is not about the high-end brands or how much you paid. It is about the safety of you and your horse and your love of riding. One thing all equestrians have in common is that we all share the same passion for horses. And don't forget- always remember to give your horses lots of hugs and kisses!!!
